This pressure kept the Bruins from moving the ball around, throwing Bear River’s rhythm off. The Bruins quickly regained composure and both teams started playing man to man. Nevada Union attempted to settle in defensively, but Bear River’s offense continued to dictate tempo.

Defensively, the Bruins remained composed. "I wanted them to not be tentative in the beginning. I wanted them to come out and play to their level, which I know they’re better than the other teams. And they did exactly that. They came out and proved that it’s not a fluke, because a lot of our games were only a couple of points behind or ahead. This time it was definitive."

The win gives the Bruins continued momentum as they prepare to face off against the Oakmont Vikings (10-4, 9-2) in Roseville Tuesday April 21 at 7:15 p.m.

“That’s a big one, because I think they’re in second place," Coach Crabb said of Oakmont, "And we’re in first, and we already lost to them 6-7 in that hard fought game here."
