Garrison has a lengthy history of working in high school athletics. After receiving his Master’s Degree in Educational Management from the University of La Verne in 1997, he started as the athletic director at Princeton High School in the Northern Section in 1998. There, he served on the Northern Section Board of Managers, Realignment Committee, and the Basketball Playoff Committee. From Princeton, he went to Rocklin High, where he was the athletic director from 1999-2005, assistant principal in 2000, and became the school’s principal in 2005. He moved to the Rocklin Unified School District office in 2011 as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. He served as the Section President from 2010-12 and was a member of the Section Executive Committee. He also served on the Budget Committee, Realignment Committee, and was the Sierra Foothill League President.
